What Dr. Tom Price As Secretary of HHS May Mean For Healthcare

On Tuesday, President-Elect Donald Trump announced his nomination for Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) for Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In 2010, Rep. Price spoke at our conference and discussed the role of the federal government in healthcare and health insurance. To hear his views on health, and government’s place in healthcare watch the video below.

Sign up to receive an article in our weekly DTC in Perspective Newsletter on Friday, December 2nd by DTC Perspectives’ CEO, Bob Ehrlich, discussing what Tom Price’s role as Secretary of HHS may look like for our country.

“As head of Health and Human Services, Dr. Tom Price will look for free market solutions to offer better health care at lower cost. Hospitals will likely need to become more adaptive to consumer needs to thrive in a more competitive marketplace,” says CEO Bob Ehrlich.

DTC Perspectives will have thought leaders explain what Tom Price, Donald Trump, and the as of yet unnamed head of the FDA will mean to your drugs, marketing, and healthcare at our 2017 DTC National Conference. Policy experts and Former head of the FDA Dr. David Kessler will break down what this new administration intends to do that may impact your efforts over the next four years.

The 2017 DTC National Conference will be held April 5-7 at the Westin Copley Place Boston and is the largest annual conference focused solely on direct-to-consumer (DTC) pharmaceutical marketing, which boasts an impressive speaker lineup, awards ceremonies, and business networking.

DTC Perspectives also hosts the 2017 Hospital Marketing National conference, June 5-7 in Atlanta.  Groundbreaking case studies, research and panels comprised of industry leaders make this annual event a must for anyone marketing hospitals, health systems, and the vendors and agencies supporting them.

Two prestigious award celebrations will take place at the HMN National: The Hospital Marketing National Top Marketer and Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony is designed to honor individuals who have demonstrated great achievement in the advancement of marketing of hospitals or healthcare facilities.   Submissions will be accepted through January 13th, 2017.

The Hospital Marketing National Advertising Awards are a unique award opportunity in a field with multiple constituencies, varying needs and significant communication challenges. Finalists will be notified in late March/early April and award winners will be revealed at the Hospital Marketing National Conference. All entries must be received by Feb 15, 2017.

The conference focuses entirely on marketing execution, by providing concrete examples and case studies of best-in-class marketing. Nearly all of our case studies feature award-winning campaigns and are designed to provide actionable insight that you can immediately apply to make strong marketing and advertising campaigns.  All presentations show great creative, and not only explain what took place in the campaign, but what insight was gleaned and how you, as a marketer, can utilize it in your own campaigns.  This event discusses best practices in marketing your hospital, how to best choose your media mix, developing excellent campaigns, and highlighting your key healthcare practice areas.  Great case studies, creative campaign planning discussions, and thought-leader forums will help you enhance your creative and get more ROI for your advertising dollar.
